Scope and Contents: Ledger, journals and a cash book of a real estate business owned and operated by Sidney Ariel Ensign on Hartford, Connecticut. Earlier, Mr. Ensign had been involved in the retail shoe business and there is an inventory. There is a one volume inventory kept from 1851-1895 and later from 1885-1895 used as a scrap book for real estate memoranda.
